EFT and Me

Subscription to EFT and Me is through a monthly membership, effective from the day of purchase and recurrent on that same day every month. If you wish to discontinue your subscription, you may do so directly from your member’s account (by selecting the option ‘Cancel’ on your subscription order) or by emailing us at [email protected]. Your subscription will remain valid for the rest of your billing period, and it will be discontinued (along with your access to content) at the end of it. We do not offer pro-rata reimbursement. For example, if you initiated the subscription on the 13th of the month and wish to stop your membership on the 20th, you will still be able to access your portal until the 13th of the following month and will not be issued a credit on the day where you requested discontinuation of your subscription.

Yes! You can listen to the webinar in English, but we also offer simultaneous interpretation to French, Portuguese, and Spanish for live meetings, which are recorded and shared on your member's portal. When you sign up to EFT and Me, you will have access to the tutorial (available in all four languages) to guide you through the steps required to access simultaneous translation during the webinar. We invite you to get acquainted with the process beforehand. This guide can be found in your member's portal.

Yes. If you have questions or comments during the live webinar, please write them down in your language of preference (English, French, Portuguese, Spanish) in the Zoom chat to have them answered by our hosts. For confidentiality purposes (and logistically, because the webinar is simultaneously translated in three languages), we will not be opening the mic for Q&A during the live webinar. Please note that it is likely we will not be able to answer all the questions, but we will ensure to read all of them and do our best to answer them alternatively (e.g., in subsequent meetings). You are also invited to send us your questions by email in your language of choice at [email protected] and our hosts will answer them during the live meetings.

EFT and Me aims toward building bridges among communities by increasing linguistic accessibility. While we operate primarily in English (i.e., through our main communications with participants, questions during live meetings, and navigation on our website), we offer simultaneous interpretation (to French, Portuguese and Spanish) during the live webinar, and those recordings are made available to participants. In the membership portal, participants have the option of changing their interface settings to their preferred language for an enhanced experience. Furthermore, we offer participants to exchange emails with our team in either English, French, Portuguese or Spanish.

The live meetings air at 12pm, in Eastern Time. As EFT and Me is based in Montreal, Canada, we are subject to seasonal time change. This means that from April to November, we are in Daylight Saving Time, which corresponds to UTC-4. However, for the months of November to March, we switch back to Standard Time which corresponds to UTC-5. If you are participating from a different time zone, we ask you to make the necessary verifications to calculate the number of hours difference with your own time zone, which could vary over the year if you are not subject to seasonal time change. We will send friendly reminders to participants enrolled in the webinar a week prior to time change to inform them accordingly.

Ensure that you are using a supported up-to-date internet browser like Chrome of Firefox. 2. Ensure that pop-ups are not automatically blocked by your browser's settings and that you accept all cookies from our website. 3. Refresh the cache by clearing your cookies and browser history and restart your internet browser. 4. Try accessing the site from a private window. 5. Try accessing your member’s area from a different browser and/or device. 6. Disable browser extensions that might be causing conflicts. 7. Restart your device.
